This depends on the design, these are handmade and if dished the
component will first have to be made elsewhere in the UK, you’re looking
between 7 days and 4 weeks, depending on the design.
The pit will be sent by courier and will need to be signed for. It will
be bound to a used wooden pallet using biodegradable rope, not swathes of
plastic! You will need help in getting it into its spot; some are heavy.
If it’s to be delivered to Sussex, I will deliver for free and help you
site it.
As we use at least 5mm steel the pits are heavy, you may need a couple
of you!
This covers damaged or defective products only. I would repair and resend if that was the customer’s wish, obviously at my expense, although these robust products are always checked before they are sent.
You get what you pay for. Most commercial fire pits are extremely thin and rust through in no time. We use at least 5mm steel, including legs, etc., from UK stockholders, I like to support the UK economy.
Yep!
No, I believe that the fire pit should be solid and robust. Apart from Tecton.
As all the fire pit is at least 5mm thick the steel will weather in time with a rusty patina so no maintenance is necessary. I suggest it is cleaned out after each use so that any moisture is not held in the ashes.
Because of the thick steel used the fire pit will last a lifetime and comes with a warranty of 8 years.
Other options of Corten weathering steel (Corten steel will rust until it weathers and develops a protective patina) and Stainless steel will last many lifetimes!
